Why should I create an artwork when it is so beautiful just to dream about it?

Yves Klein

If a man could pass through Paradise in a dream, and have a flower presented to him as a pledge that his soul had really been there, and if he found that flower in his hand when he awake

– Aye, what then?

Samuel Coleridge

In 2015, after 457 years, in the night between December 24th and 25th the Christian Catholic Christmas coincided with the Muslim one, that being based on the lunar calendar – like our Easter – which falls always on a different day.
This year, for the second time, I drawn a large root on the sacred texts of the three monotheistic religions. Although the story that we write every day seems to prove otherwise, I like to think that something will change, that it is changing right now or has already changed, even just in the dreams of those who want to believe in these things.
The Italian poet Alda Merini once said “The only root I have hurts me” and also “There are nights that don’t ever happen.”
I would like to believe that sooner or later some nights will happen, that the roots won’t ever become sick and that every man can wake up with the flower of Coleridge in his hand.
